Dear Kevin:
My memories of the mighty Fu will live forever. This is truly a paddler's paradise. Someone once told me that if Disney were to design a perfect playground for demented paddlers such as myself, it would be the Liquid Skills trip to the Futaleufu.
This trip combines all that is sacred to kayaking - Endless turquoise water with huge waves, tranquil forests as far as the eye can see, breathtaking views, warm sun when the rest of the world is freezing back home, friendly Chileans, especially Luis our host, great food… I could go on about Earth Camp and how "way cool" it is, or about how I am going to come back again in 2003 - but I better stop and start searching for a cheap ticket for next year.
Your LS teams' top-notch instruction, motivation and companionship during the trip was superb and I know it will help me wind my way down other challenging rivers and yes, play in all the biggest holes.
BOTTOM LINE - The Fu may not be there forever, because of the dam project, so this is one really, really great "Liquid Adventure" of the highest caliber not to be missed. Doing it with people like Ken, you, Chad, Paul, Ruth, and Tyler plus all of the wonderful guests with such similar free adventurous spirits, it is the only way to go.
