Tentative, class 2/3 paddlers will love our 'Futassentials' trip which allows paddlers to experience the magic of the Futaleufu Valley on a trip with more instruction and a gentler progression, using the smaller tributary rivers and lakes to build up confidence and skills before tackling the bigger water. THE FUTASSENTIALS - CLASS II-III INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
The Futaleufu has long been recognized as one of the most challenging rivers in the world. Though much of the Futaleufu River is indeed quite challenging, there are fantastic sections for the less experienced and/or more timid paddler. This Futassentials program provides class 2/3 paddlers with the opportunity to join our world class instructors on an unforgettable adventure. With a focus on learning and enjoying the breathtaking environment, you’ll get to explore a number of sections of the Fu or its tributaries, and with our industry leading 3:1 guide to guest ratio, we can effectively cater to individual strengths and weaknesses. Just like our other programs, your vacation ends with an unforgettable overnight trip with a night spent at the magical Cave Camp. |
DELUX FUTA CHALLENGE - CLASS III-V INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
The Deluxe Futa Challenge is our most popular trip and is considered by many to be the finest whitewater kayaking trip in the world. Because of our incredibly low guide to guest ratio of 3:1, we can effectively group paddlers of similar abilities, which allows our world-class guides to safely push your abilities without shoving. As some of the most acknowledged instructors in the world, they also can't help passing on some of the tricks and techniques that will elevate your paddling along the way. After the day on the water, you'll return to the comforts of our base camp. After four days of running different sections of the Fu, we'll head up to the town of Futaleufu to start our two-day trip with a night spent at the magical Cave Camp. |
