Mundaca: Class IV Mundaca is one of the most significant rapids of the Lower Futaleufu section and is second only to the giant Mas O Menos. Mundaca is quite the wide rapid and is about 200 meters in length. It is not a technical rapid but one that will surely envelope all paddlers at some point. Mundaca’s size makes it quite easy to feel lost within the rapid but fear not and paddle hard as you will end up at the bottom. The top half of the rapid is slower moving with two hefty hydraulics centered near the top and the lower half of the rapid beholds the illustrious Mundaca wave accompanied by other noteworthy waves and reactionaries.
