Magic Carpet: Class III/IV Magic Carpet is a very interesting spot on the river as it makes a giant S-bend producing monstrous whirlpools and big eddies. Some of these eddies are actually quite difficult to exit and require paddling back to the top of them to ferry out into the main current. To keep things easy it is best to stick to the inside corners when the river bends. The alternative option through Magic Carpet is to see what happens when entering any chosen whirlpool. At lower flow a magical eddy service wave called Disco Biscuit appears just before the river bends to the left. Disco Biscuit can be entered from service eddies on river left or right. It is a one of a kind park and play feature on the Rio Futaleufu and a great place to spend a few hours in the afternoon or an alternative to running a large section of whitewater.
