FUTASSENTIALS - CLASS II-III INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
 The Futaleufu has long been recognized as one of the most challenging rivers in the world. Though much of the Futaleufu river is indeed quite challenging, over the past few years we've been developing a trip for the more tentative paddler because we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the magic of the Futaleufu Valley. We're now happy to present our 'Futassentials' trip which allows class 2/3 paddlers and more conservative paddlers to join our world class instructors on an unforgettable adventure. Depending on water levels and the skill levels, the first few days could involve any number of class 2/3 sections of whitewater, with the focus remaining on learning and enjoying the breathtaking environment. We'll usually take an afternoon off for a stunning horseback ride up one of the valleys as well. Towards the end of the week, before heading up to the dramatic 'Cave Camp', many paddlers will get their chance to tackle their first class 3 section of the Fu. Our world class instructors, combined with our 3 to 1 guest:instructor ratio and our focus on safety, make the 'Futassentials' trip a one-of-a-kind experience!
Your Week includes:
Both Kayak Futaleufu programs include: greetings and personalized service at the airport in Puerto Montt, return flight between Puerto Montt and Chaiten, transport in a private comfortable van to our base camp, 6 full days of world-class instruction, 7 nights of accommodation (private riverside cabannas) and all meals, the kayak of your choice, an exclusive raft-supported overnight trip on the Upper Futaleufu (with option to ride on a raft or horseback trip if you choose not to paddle to the camp), use of all camp facilities, access to horseback riding tours, rafting, fishing and hiking trips and a farewell fiesta with a traditional lamb-roast on Sunday night.
