 The first 35km stretch of the Futaleufu after the Argentinean border offers world-class whitewater for intermediate and advanced paddlers. Carving between impressive canyon walls and cascading through wide-open valleys, the deep azure waters of the Fu provide an endless variety of fun, challenging rapids and incredible play spots.
Two contributory rivers, the Rio Azul and the Rio Espolon, ice the cake with several km of lower volume class 3-4 rapids and perfect play waves before entering "the Grand Waters". Around every corner, a new rapid is waiting, complemented by a stunning view of awesome towers and ice-capped glaciers. Your toughest decision is whether to stop to take photos or milk every minute you can from the river. One thing is for sure - however you choose to spend your time, it will not be in line!
